Drake Interplanetary is a spacecraft manufacturer headquartered on Borea (Magnus II). The fifth largest spacecraft producer in United Empire of Earth, Drake was founded in SEY 2845 by Jan Dredge to produce the Cutlass medium fighter for militia use. Drake has cultivated its image since then to appeal to those seeking less conventional designs.

Spacecraft produced by Drake include the Cutlass line, the Caterpillar freighter, the Dragonfly ultralight, the Buccaneer fighter, the Herald information runner and the Vulture salvage ship.

Concept

Our goal was to design a chair that combines the highest quality, ergonomic design and a comfortable seating experience, especially for long flight missions. At the same time, it should harmonize perfectly with different flight control setups.

In addition, the chair has a central cutout in the seat, which allows a center joystick to be mounted in an optimal position.

Design

The most important part of the design is the shape of the backrest:

The wider lower part provides the pilot with stability, while the narrower upper part allows unrestricted freedom of movement in the shoulder and elbow area.

This means the seat offers maximum freedom of movement for smooth operation of the joystick and throttle without any restrictions.

All logos are embroidered in great detail and reflect the ambient light in an elegant way.

The backrest is made of 100% CORDURA® Mil-Spec fabric. Because of its exceptional abrasion resistance and tear strength, Cordura is a clear choice for heavy-duty applications. This fabric is specifically tested for colorfastness, breaking strength, tear strength, water repellency, color and more in order to meet military standards.

The seat is made of genuine curly lambskin and therefore nestles softly against the body. In addition, it is breathable, allergy-friendly and comes from New Zealand. The wool height of the dyed natural curl is about 2cm.
