Flight Chair – MFC-8 Storm Sheep

The MFC-8 Flight Chair is the first office chair designed specifically for flight control. The Storm Sheep is covered with real lambkin and PU leather.

Unbraked: Standard – for use without flight pedals.
Caster and Rotation Brake: The chair can be set in a fixed position for optimal pedal use.
Haptic System: 14 actuators with haptic feedback in the seat and backrest.

Concept

Our goal was to create a chair that combines high quality, ergonomics, seating comfort (especially for long flights), and that works well with different flight control setups.

Also, the chair has a central cut-out in the seat to mount a center joystick in the perfect position.

Design

The most important feature is the specialized form of the backrest.

The wider contured bottom part provides stability and support for the pilot. The slimmer top part allows for full freedom of the shoulder and elbows to have complete unimpeded joystick/throttle motion range.

This allows full unristricted operation of the joystick and throttle.

Cover

The contact surfaces of the MFC-8 are made of real curly lambskin and therefore nestle softly against the body. In addition, it is breathable, allergy-friendly and comes from New Zealand.
The wool height of the dyed natural curl is approx. 2 cm.

Manufacture

A local North German manufacturer makes our chairs. It is a company known for producing high-quality office chairs since 1966. Each chair is made by hand.

Note: Since the cover is partly made of real lambskin, it may have imperfections.

Joystick/HOTAS seat mounts left/right/center, joystick, throttle, button boxes or other accessories are not included in the scope of delivery and are only used on the product images to illustrate the complete structure.
